One-on-One Coaching

Tired of feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unfulfilled in your life or career?

You don't have to go it alone...

We have the wonderful ability to reshape who we are by identifying and addressing the habits, beliefs, and fears which hold us back, but it can be difficult for us to see these limiting belief and habits because they blind us from the truth of our potential. We create our own fears, based on what we know (or think we know), and make poor life choices, remaining in the same unfulfilling patterns of behavior, not realizing the choices that are available to us.

This is where working with a Life Coach is so important. A life coach will help, guide, motivate and inspire you to discover and overcome all the obstacles, fears and beliefs that are stopping you from reaching your goals.

"anything or anyone that does not bring you alive is too small for you."

What is Coaching?

Coaching is a powerful, ongoing relationship that helps you focus and realize your visions and goals.

With a Professional Coach, you will get the tools and support to remove obstacles and facilitate change. Coaching is confidential and done within a supportive, judgment-free environment.

What are some reasons people hire a coach?

  • to plan a career
  • move to make your present job more fulfilling
  • to plan your life based on what matters most to you
  • to get more organized to create more balance in your life
  • to focus your energy to finish or plan a project
  • to increase your effectiveness as an executive, manager or salesperson
  • to work with your team to increase productivity and effectiveness
  • to make your life more fulfilling
  • to start a business
  • to get motivated
  • to increase your income

How is coaching done?

Typically, individual coaching is done by telephone or an online service such as Skype or Zoom, for 1-hour sessions either weekly or biweekly. To create profound changes in your life, I ask for a three-month commitment.  This commitment is to yourself more than it is to me.

While most coaching sessions are done over the phone, if you are in New York City or the Lower Hudson Valley we may be able to arrange in-person sessions which can range from finding a quiet room, to taking a walk or even a hike. The important thing is that we are in an environment where you are comfortable to be open and honest with both yourself and your coach, without distraction.

Is coaching therapy?

No, coaching is not therapy, although sometimes they share similar tools and techniques. You will find that coaching focuses on strategic planning and personal growth and does not attempt to heal emotional trauma.

Coaches regularly refer clients to other professionals for issues that are better suited to a therapeutic relationship.

What is a typical session like?

The hallmark of coaching is self-responsibility. The client sets the agenda for the call and the coach follows that agenda. You can expect powerful and clarifying questions, focused and fine-tuned planning tools, and accountability.

As your coach, I’ll have high expectations of you and support you thoroughly.

What does it cost to hire a coach?

It’s easy to get fixated on cost.  Yes, coaching can seem expensive, at least until you consider the costs of NOT getting it.  How much are you loosing by keeping things as they are?  What opportunities continue to allude you? Chances are, in considering the actual benefits from coaching, the cost becomes a worthy investment.

That said, if price is a concern for you, please reach out and I’ll do my best to come to a fee that works for both of us. Discounted rates are available for current Coaching For Transformation students as well as those with financial hardships.  I want to help those who need the help. I am not interested in negotiating with people simply looking for a deal.  My services and time are valuable and I am only interested in working with people serious about working with me and making a difference in their lives.

The financial and time commitment you make to coaching is an investment that pays big dividends. I find that clients who are committed to seeing change in their life see the time and financial commitments to coaching as investments in their future that motivate them to get the most out of it. If after our first full session you feel like this isn’t a good fit for you I will give you a complete refund.

Here are three things you can do to maximize your investment:

  • Hire the right coach. Find the coach whose specialties best match your needs.
  • During your first coaching session, set a 90-day goal that’s worth accomplishing. Make sure the goal is something that’s worth the coaching fee, something you’d be happy to pay for.
  • Make the most of your coaching time. Tell your coach what results you want and your coach helps you make it happen.

How do I get started?

It’s easy. Start by scheduling a free exploratory session, and we’ll talk about whether coaching is right for you. If the chemistry is right, and you decide you want to move on to the next step, we’ll get out our calendars and schedule your discovery session. A couple of days later, you’ll receive your “Welcome to Coaching” package which includes some self-assessment and planning tools. And that’s just the beginning!
